Emergence definition

Metamorphism arises from the transformation of existing rock under the influence of high temperature, which is a measure of the average kinetic energy of particles in a substance, and intense pressure, which is the force exerted on a surface arising from the interactions of matter and energy. This process alters the mineral composition and structure of the rock, as studied in the field of geology, which examines the composition and structure of rocks and their formations.
