Proof of stake emerges from validators, who are nodes that secure the blockchain through a consensus algorithm, where the amount of cryptocurrency tokens they hold and are willing to lock up as collateral determines their priority in creating new blocks, incentivizing them to act honestly and maintain the integrity of the blockchain.
