Angola's parliament has adopted a controversial law on false information online, with civic watchdog Monitor.civicus.org reporting that the legislation uses criminal defamation to intimidate journalists.

Bloomberg notes that the government is planning to cut fuel subsidies without raising prices, signaling a shift in economic policy as the country grapples with budgetary pressures.

The draft 2027 budget projects 5.5% growth if oil prices remain at $71 per barrel, according to cnbcafrica.com, highlighting the economy's dependence on petroleum revenues.

Meanwhile, Chinese automakers are reshaping mobility and manufacturing across Africa, as reported by alwihdainfo.com, indicating a growing influence of Asian investment in the region.
