Bishops in Benin have called for urgent action against rising violence and insecurity, per beninwebtv.bj. The religious leaders urged government officials to address the deteriorating security situation that has alarmed local communities.

The call comes amid increasing reports of criminal activities and social unrest in the region, with church officials stressing the need for stronger law enforcement and community protection measures.

In other political developments, Benin's Supreme Court is set to begin its judicial year on November 5, focusing on electoral judge matters, Bloomberg reports. This marks a key moment ahead of upcoming elections and constitutional processes.
