Bhutan dedicated the 76th of 108 stupas to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a ceremony in Thimphu, per The Hindu.
Over 1.2 lakh people registered for the historic event, which saw the construction of the stupas in just nine hours, Bloomberg reports.
Meanwhile, dense fog has enveloped Thimphu, with current conditions showing 95% humidity and 5.1 km/h winds, according to open-meteo.
The stupas' construction is part of a broader cultural and diplomatic initiative between Bhutan and India.
