Earthquakes and Deportation

Indonesia deported a Chinese national for visa misuse, per Antara News. The individual was found to have violated immigration regulations while in the country.

A series of earthquakes struck near Pulau Sumbawa Island on Sunday, including a 4.2-magnitude temblor at 09:43 am local time, reported VolcanoDiscovery. The region remains under monitoring for aftershocks.

The same day, a 4.0-magnitude quake hit 78 km south of the island at 11:21 am, also from VolcanoDiscovery. Residents were advised to remain cautious as seismic activity continues in the area.

BMKG issued warnings about heavy rainfall across major Indonesian cities on Saturday, Tempo.co reports. This could increase risks of landslides and flooding in vulnerable regions.
