The UN Biodiversity Conference (COP17) concluded in Yerevan, with delegates agreeing on a fragile deal to boost conservation and funding for nature, per climatechangenews.com.

UNEP Executive Director's statement following the closing of COP17 emphasized the importance of subsidy and incentive reform as a necessary driver of biodiversity finance, according to unep.org.

Conservation International reiterated that while progress was made in outlining the biodiversity crisis, there remains insufficient ambition to solve it, as noted by newsroom.wcs.org.

Armenia's role in hosting the conference underscores its growing influence in global biodiversity efforts, with the pathway charted for future action highlighted by english.news.cn.
