The Sun sits below the horizon over Australia and New Zealand, casting the southern hemisphere into night. This positions Earth for a full night cycle as the terminator moves across the globe.

Mid-level cloud cover blankets much of the Southern Hemisphere, with no significant large-scale weather bands visible at this planetary scale. The jet stream remains relatively stable across the region.

Aurora activity is currently active over Canada and the northern polar regions, visible in the night sky. The Moon is in a waxing crescent phase, appearing as a thin sliver in the western sky.
