Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis has visited both North and South Korea, marking a significant diplomatic effort as Bern reopens its office in Pyongyang, per eda.admin.ch.

Cassis's trip underscores Switzerland's intent to enhance its presence in the region amid growing geopolitical tensions, with officials emphasizing dialogue and cooperation, Bloomberg reports.

The move follows recent scrutiny over Switzerland's approach to international relations, as analysts question whether Bern can secure agreements more effectively than Brussels, per tomorrowsaffairs.com.
