The World Health Organization warns Ethiopia's health system is nearing collapse due to ongoing violence in the northern regions, per European Sting.

WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus highlighted that drone strikes and armed conflict have severely disrupted medical services and access to care in the Afar region.

Meanwhile, Eritrea's Ministry of Information accused Ethiopia of an 'overtly declared war agenda' against its territory, escalating regional tensions.

The International Committee of the Red Cross evacuated 161 people from Mekelle to Semera in Afar, as humanitarian conditions deteriorate.
