A suspicious object found in a container at Port Moresby's port was identified by PNG police as an unexploded Chinese artillery shell, ABC News Australia reports.
The Chinese embassy rejected this claim, stating the object is actually a wine bottle, per the South China Morning Post.
Australian officials have not yet commented on the conflicting reports, while local authorities continue to investigate the incident.
