Beijing and Ottawa have agreed to extend their market access deal for canola and Chinese steel until late 2028, per the Lethbridge Herald.

Canada's foreign affairs minister confirmed the extension, noting that it strengthens bilateral economic ties despite recent political shifts in both countries, Bloomberg reports.

The agreement comes as Ottawa continues to balance its trade relationship with major partners, including the US, following the recent U.S. midterm elections, according to Yahoo Finance.
