Storm Cempaka Intensifies
Severe Tropical Storm Cempaka has intensified into a typhoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported per LinkedIn.
Cempaka could enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tonight or early Monday morning, Pagasa said, as Manila braces for potentially dangerous conditions.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump is scheduled to attend the ASEAN Summit in Manila and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Shenzhen, China, on Nov. 18-19, per Facebook.
