Egypt, Somalia, and Djibouti held talks on Red Sea security and Horn of Africa stability, per Garowe Online.

Despite hosting China's largest overseas military base, Djibouti is also conducting joint exercises with the US, France, and three other nations without Beijing, reports Africa Business Insider.

Djibouti's strategic location makes it a key hub for EU anti-piracy patrols in the region, as noted by Post Register and WV News.
